The main enemy for many that people don’t always see is our insecurities. These insecurities drive them to react in dangerous ways. This alphabet book is set in a world where the plague of insecurities is flooding in the minds of all. It talks about the long-lasting effects that can derive from them.
The brief of this project is to produce a booklet that explores themes or ideas aimed at a literate adult audience within the formant of an alphabet book. The book would delight, challenge or instruct an adult readership. A unified piece of work that combines and integrates different elements to complement each other.
The book is designed in a deconstructed manner that differentiates it from the traditional alphabet book. It takes a humorous and satirical approach to the theme. It engages the audience with its play of relatable ‘monster’ illustrations and expressive type. The layering of doodles, textures and colour separation creates compositional tension that captivates readers. The copywriting uses rhyming dactyl couplets.
